- Question: How long are lessons?
- Answer: Lessons vary depending on the student’s need. We offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour lessons. We recommend that adults begin with 45 minute lessons.
- Q: What is your hourly rate?
- A: This depends on the teacher that you will be studying under. Please visit the teacher’s page to find their rate.
- Q: Do you offer group classes?
- A: We offer group guitar classes for adult beginners. The classes are 6 weeks long and have 4-8 people in each class. All the students in the group guitar classes are adult beginners.
- Q: Do I need my own instrument or do you provide one?
- A: You do need your own instrument. It is important to have an instrument to practice on at home. We are happy to help you find the instrument that best suites your needs.
- Q: Do you offer help to parents with no musical experience?
- A: When helping a child succeed, it is absolutely crucial that the parents are actively engaged in the process. Remember, your child takes only 1 lesson a week and practices (ideally) at home for 6 or 7 days per week. What goes on in the home plays a very large role in your child’s success. Regular discussion are held frequently with parents and occasional parent training seminars are also held. If you ever have questions, I encourage parents or students to call with or email.
